Wasn't keeping track at this point so I don't remember.
First public release, updates saw addition of fakemon, bug and error fixes, animation updates.
Q: What emulator do I use?
A: None, this can only be played on a Windows operating system. Open the game folder, then open the Game.exe (little galaxy pokeball icon). It runs by itself.

Q: Why is there no battle animation for this move?
A: I made over 500 battle animations for this game in order to make it suck less. There's still a bunch of animations I have yet to do, and I plan to finish them with the final release. Feel free to let me know which animations are missing, I keep a checklist going to make sure I get them all.

Q: When will this be fully complete?
A: No idea, I'm one person. It might never be done.

Q: Where do I go after Echorock?
A: Make sure you talk to the man above the statue. After that, check back with Thorn.

Q: How long/ how many badges are there?
A: This game has taken on average of 6 to 9 hours, depending on how much you invest. You will obtain 2 badges in this version. You get to explore a little more than half the island planned for the full release. The 2 HMs you will get are Fly and Cut. The 1.5 update has added a post-game challenge set of trainers.

Q: Why does my fog/panorama/picture/field poison effect get cut down to a quarter of the screen sometimes? (Or, why do some graphics get messed up when I'm using "Large" screen mode?!?)
A: For some reason, if you open the program automatically to the large screen setting, it'll cut the graphic. Just go to options, switch to medium and back to large, and it'll fix it. Not sure how to fix it permanently.

Q: What Pokemon are all in this game?
A: 1st through 5th gen, and some original ones. I gave you an unencrypted game folder. I'd prefer if you played to find out, but you have access to everything you want to know about the game inside various folders. Feel free to snoop around if you must, but I wouldn't ruin the fun if I were you. There are fakemon, alternate forms, and new evolutions. More are planned for the future.

Q: How do I get Gorochu, Nidorook, Quzsparce, or any of the fakemon?
A: Play to find out. You can always check the Pokemon.txt folder, located in the PBS folder, if you really want to ruin the fun.

Q: Will I be able to carry over my save to the final version in the future?
A: Ideally, yes, but probably not. A lot of things could change in development from now till then, so I wouldn't count on it.

Q: Can I use ______________ for my own project?
A: Absolutely. Anything in this game is either made/edited by me, or from other public art assets. Credit needs to given, but feel free to use anything in this download.
In regards to assets from this project being available for public use:
As of December 25th, 2020, I am going to be restricting that from here on out. If you have already used assets from the project, or made your own based on them, you will be grandfathered in. But from here on out, if anyone wants to use something from this game, you will have to ask permission. I do this for two main reasons:
1) Seeing my tiles/graphics used in ways that clash with its intended style hurts me psychologically.
2) I have seen projects that are basically ripping off a majority of the games aesthetic, which I feel diminishes some of its unique charm, and is kind of lazy. I would prefer people put their own twist and tweaks on resources they use from me.
I know, I'm a picky bitch.
So from here on out, if you would like to use anything from this project, please just message me to ask so we can chat about it.
Install the fonts! The game won't look as intended if you don't install the fonts (they come with this download)
Go to game folder, then Fonts folder, highlight the fonts, right click, install.

Z = Run
X= Menu/Cancel
C/Space/Enter= Confirm/Interact
Arrow keys to move
F5 for registered items

SAVE OFTEN
This is a fan game, meaning I'm not a professional. There may be things I missed in testing that could mess your game up. I've done the best I can so far, but there always could be a hidden bug. Just be weary.

WARNING IF YOU ARE UPDATING FROM 1.0, 1.1, OR 1.2, THIS UPDATE MAY BUG OUT SOME MOVES.
I updated moves in V 1.30, meaning that "Fairy Wind" will become "Freeze Dry" if a pokemon already had Fairy Wind. If you catch a new pokemon with said move, it'll be normal. I believe you can just forget the move and that should fix it. There's about a half dozen or so moves this will happen to. If you are playing this game for the first time on V 1.30 or higher, you are safe.
tl:dr Moves got overwritten from 1.2 to 1.3, which caused a few to change. You can forget/relearn moves in Echorock to fix issue.

If you beat the Dojo pupils in 1.3 or earlier, and didn't get to face the leader, interacting with the southeast big boulder in the first room of Echodrop cave will correct it. (Warning, if you do this before having beat the 4 pupils, it will mess up the events)
This game is free and should never be involved in any monetary exchange.

Special thanks to the friends that I bounce ideas off of and that provide me feedback and assistance when I need it.
Max, Aki, Josh, Teo, Tom, Andy, Jose, Sam, Sabs, Iwan, Justin, and Duncan.

Shout out to Hukon Risu for inspiring me to make every inch of my game worth your time,
by making the world more interactable and interesting.

The graphics that were used were either my own or original/edits of the artists below

Feel free to use anything in this game,(fakemon, battle animations, tilesets, new moves, etc) for your own non-profit project.

So far, apart from the apparent short length of it, I'm finding this to be a fantastic game.
The plot is engaging right from the start, with a unique badge system and the graphics and custom Pokemon are stunning.

The Chinese dragon Charmander line and the cactus Bulbasuar line are amazing and I freaking want a Nideorook! Is that the replacement for Nidorino/a? Or what?

I just have a few minor notes.

1. Although I've grown somewhat alright with using the Space Bar as the action button, I find C completely uncomfortable and prefer Z. I also do not like f5 as the registered item button.
Bottom line, I'd like an option to customize the controls.

2. It's a bit easy to get lost.
I ended up having to watch a Youtube video to find out where I needed to go in the Genesis Forest pre-Cut and now I am stuck in Koros Cave. I've run around it several times and can't find the way through. I'll probably have to Youtube that as well.

I'm looking forward to the completion of the game!

Happy Holidays!

I figured I'd take a minute to post an update for you all. Just wanted to stop in and let you know that progress has been strong and steady since the final update back in May. I've been able to add a couple team members to the project that have proved invaluable, one of which has been designing some really cool fakemon. I have, for the most part, finished mapping out every map for the final release, excluding post game content. That is a big benchmark, because now all that is left is filling it with events, small graphics related things, and overall polishing and testing.

I won't put a date on it, but the end is in sight.

Since we are in the last stretch of development, I was hoping to try to recruit some help to speed the process along. If you are interested in lending a hand, or joining the team, please contact me here or on discord (AtomicReactor#3165).

Recruiting For:

High Priority
Spriters: Most wanted. Need help mostly with icons, and battle sprites if you're up for it.

Low-Priority
Musician: Would be cool to have more custom music.

Scripter: It'd be nice to have a scripter help tweak a few things, but not necessary.
Dialogue Writer/Editor: Someone to help write and edit game dialogue/story events.

In regards to assets from this project being available for public use:
I am going to be restricting that from here on out.

That's it for the update post. I know I didn't share much, but that's so the experience can be as fresh as possible upon final release. I'm only holding out for your own good. Thank you for showing interest in the project everyone, can't wait for you to see the final product! Smell ya later!

Below will be replies to posts on this thread from the last few months.
I am loving this demo. There’s a youtuber named TyranitarTube who started a nuzlocke on this game, and he brought attention to it for me. Besides that, I’m really enjoying the story, the gameplay, everything. Especially the new evolutions. Those are sick. I can’t wait to see the next release, whenever that may be!
Thank you, glad you've enjoyed it! There will be even more new Pokémon in the final release! The story will also be getting an overhaul to be better paced and have more to do!

My only disappointment was that I somehow skipped over any rival battles in the game which drew attention to the need for more plot relevant trainers throughout the story like maybe more guaranteed rival interactions and some additional Team Fate run-ins. Either way I can't wait to play the later versions of this game.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and also glad you were able to appreciate the Obsidian ones making a return.
I totally agree with all your critique and it will all be addressed in the final!
Can I have a hint for the number of coins to throw in the well? I saw the one in the cemetery, threw in 108 coins, and nothing happened.
What hint in the cemetery are you referring to? I don't recall putting one in there.
There are several different responses you can get depending on how much you throw in. But I think you should try and throw in ~25,000, and then come back at night.
Will we be able to transfer saves once the game is completed?
Maybe? But I wouldn't. The game is going to have things all through out that will be updated or tweaked. Better to experience it all with the final installment.
This game is really good!

I usually don't play many fangames, none catch my interest and I'm rather picky.
But this? Oooh, this is perfection on a level I can get behind.

The graphics are amazing, the music is soo good, the maps are great, and the story and what I've played thus far is top-notch!

Keep it up Atomic, always loved your stuff!!
Thank you Pheebs!

Happy Holidays everyone!

I loved to play it! Thank you guys to made that fangame!
I'd just suggest to add "Walking Pokemon" script because most of gen 4 players love that mechanic.
Look forward to the next upgrade!

As much as I also love the following mechanic, the small graphical irregularities that come with it make me not want to use it. That, and with all the new fakemon being added, it would greatly increase my workload since it would require a whole overworld set for each new species. Maybe far down the road, but at this point it is not currently a planned feature.

Small update for you all.

In an attempt to recruit more help on the spriting side of things, we've made a public discord link. I know some people have asked about it in the past so here you go! Infinity Discord
Don't expect too much in updates, as I would still like to keep as much under wraps as possible until release. Doesn't mean I won't show off a little progress every once in a while.

As for a game status update, there's still a lot to do, mostly eventing and spriting. In the last few weeks I've been able to implement a dynamic weather system. Each area of the island will now have a weekly forecast, in which the weather changes from day to day. Below is a couple screenshots of that, and a sneak peak at Hazeport City.

Ok see ya!

[1.0 to 1.1,1.2, and 1.3] March 20th-25th 2020

Z = Run
X= Menu/Cancel

I hope you enjoy it.

Is there any info on the Pokemon? How do I obtain all of the fan-made Pokemon?
From the FAQ:

You could also join the discord to ask for any help finding a specific Fakemon, the link's at the top.
